Barbara Fox is the founder of Mystery On The Menu, an interactive murder mystery company she founded in Washington DC in 1986. She writes the plays, produces, directs and acts in the plays and, as she puts it, does everything else except sweep up after the show! Mystery On The Menu was one of the first participatory theaters in the country and has been in business for over thirty-three years, presenting shows for audiences ranging in size from 20 to 200. She has written several mystery novels and short stories and most recently, two children’s picture books.

Barbara has presented her shows for literally thousands of audiences at hotels, restaurants, aboard trains and cruise ships, country clubs, community centers, corporate retreats, special occasions and more. She moved the company to Florida in 2000 where she developed one woman mystery plays with even more audience participation. Barbara and her theater company have been featured in dozens of newspaper articles and on local and national radio and television programs. She has written several mystery novels and short stories and most recently, two children’s picture books.
