The Concealed Revealed: Finding the Hidden Lymph Node

Featuring: David Nathanson

In this podcast, we feature David Nathanson MD, a surgical oncologist who helped pioneer the development of a new operation for breast cancer and melanoma, and is the author of a new memoir documenting the joy of scientific discovery in his new book The Concealed Revealed: finding the hidden lymph node. The theme of the book is more extensive than the identification of a new operation because it develops a metaphor for the excitement and fascination of discovering anything that is hidden. The writing shows us that curiosity, the urge to discover something new, is a process that we should encourage, especially in the young students we encounter.
