Doctor Nathanson is an internationally renowned surgical oncologist, with an expertise in breast cancer, melanoma and the ways in which cancer cells spread to lymph nodes. He has published over 200 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, eight book chapters, three books, and a fourth book on cancer metastasis which will be published in the fall of 2021. He is one of the top 1% of breast surgeons in the United States (US News and World Report and Castle Connolly) and has been consistently voted top surgical oncologist and breast surgeon in 'Hour Detroit' magazine. He has been lauded for teaching medical students and surgical residents. His patients consistently compliment his hopeful demeanor, compassionate caring and humanistic style of practice. He is currently Professor of Surgery at Wayne State Medical School. His research in numerous topics related to cancer are cited by scientists and clinicians world-wide.
